Pavi Electrical Industries Pvt. Ltd was established in 1973 by the visionary Mr.Padam Dutt, an Electrical Engineer from the first batch of Indian Institute of Technology of India (IIT-Kharagpur), having worked in Germany for 10 years as design cum project engineer in the manufacture of steel plants, along with a dedicated team of qualified engineers, technicians, metallurgists, project designers, and skilled workforce with vast and varied experience in various steel plants.
PAVI one of the most reliable sources of quality non ferrous and alloy castings in eastern India started with manufacture of Melting and Heat Treatment Furnaces and Equipments for Steel Plants and then further took up development and supply of spares for any type and make of steel plants from all over the world.
They ,of late, have diversified into high conductivity copper products, high temperature, non-magnetic stainless steel items, high pressure hydraulic cylinder and accessories, specialised electrical equipments and insulation materials and consumable stores like refractories, ramming masses and other additives for steel plants, ferro alloy units and rolling mills.

Practically all domestic steel plants and ferro alloy units are their clients.They have a strong client base in Middle East, South East Asian and African countries.

Development, reliability, quality & punctuality is their motto as well as their strength.

• Mr Padam Dutt is the Chairman & Managing Director of M/s Pavi Electrical Industries Pvt Ltd, B. Tech (Hons) in Electrical Engineering from IIT, Kharagpur India, and after graduation -over 10 years experience in Germany, in design and manufacture of steel plants. Further 8 years in AEI/GEC (now GA Danieli) before laying the foundation of "PAVI".
  
  A visionary in his own right he foresaw the future growth of the infrastructure sector in India, in which steel would play a very important role. He envisioned that numerous steel plants will be coming up in the country in the coming decades.
  
  The first initiative taken by Mr Padam Dutt was way back in 1971 when after leaving AAEI-GEC he founded M/s Erection Service & Syndicate, a unit where small copper castings and electrical items were manufactured. Soon the company grew and a bigger unit was formed and M/s Pavi Electrical Industries Pvt Ltd was born.
  
  The horizon of the company was broadened and soon ‘PAVI’ became a name known for its quality products, and almost all the Government Steel Plants became loyal customers. Many intricate items were created and produced and the company gained from strength to strength.
  
  The entire team of technical engineers under the guidance of Mr Dutt created a sound base on which,40 years hence ,the company still stands and is making good progress. The top private steel plants and ferro alloy units all know that 'PAVI' is a name to reckon with, a firm which does not compromise on quality, which is the strength of the company.
